Registration of CEL-FI Signal Boosters

In some cases, regulatory bodies and or mobile network operators may require users to register the signal booster. If you received an “(Error 5) Registration Required”, or “(Error 9) Location Lock – Registration Required” you are required to register your device before you can continue boosting.

(Error 5) Registration Required
Before use you must register this device and have your provider’s consent. You must operate this device with approved cables as specific by the manufacturer. Systems can be registered via the WAVE application.

(Error 9) Location Lock – Registration Required
Your system has been moved from its original address. Please move the system back to its original location or register your new address with your wireless provider. Systems can be registered via the WAVE application.

How to Register

Step 1 – Setup your Booster

Follow the instructions in the separate Quick Start Guide. Once you have installed the system, wait for it to complete the network selection. This can take up to 10 minutes. When this process is complete a warning message will appear indicating that registration is required. For DUO/DUO+ and PRO, the warning message is displayed on the LCD. For GO and SOLO products, the LED will blink red.

STEP 2 – Download the WAVE App

Go to the App Store or Google Play Store and search for “CEL-FI WAVE” to download our free app.

STEP 3 – Run the App

Launch the WAVE app in close proximity to the CEL-FI device. For PRO and DUO the connection is made with the Coverage Unit. The WAVE app will automatically connect via Bluetooth (requires Bluetooth 4.1 and Android 4.3 or newer).

STEP 4 – Register the Booster

Once the application has connected to the CEL-FI system, you will be prompted to register. Fill out the form correctly and submit. Activation may take a few minutes and once successful your system will start boosting.
