Nextivity Launches CEL-FI QUATRA Cellular Coverage Solution for the Middleprise

[vc_row columns=”1″][vc_column][vc_column_text]

SAN DIEGO and LAS VEGAS – September 6, 2016 – CTIA Super Mobility 2016 – Nextivity Inc. today announced CEL-FI QUATRA, an enterprise-class cellular coverage solution for 3G and 4G LTE, including VoLTE. As a cost-effective and high-performance active DAS hybrid solution, this new class of technology immediately solves indoor cellular coverage challenges in larger, more complex enterprise environments and industrial applications up to 500,000 sq. ft. Nextivity will be showcasing CEL-FI QUATRA at CTIA Super Mobility 2016.

CEL-FI QUATRA is a self-configuring system built on award-winning CEL-FI technology, which is unconditionally network safe, and approved for use by carriers on their networks. CEL-FI QUATRA is an all digital solution, specifically designed for ease of installation. Unlike typical DAS systems that can require between 12 and 24 months for deployment from start to finish, CEL-FI QUATRA can be ordered, delivered, installed, and operational in a matter of weeks—and at a lower installed cost per sq. ft. CEL-FI QUATRA achieves this by eliminating much of the complexity, leveraging RF-over-ethernet (RFoE) and Power-over-ethernet (PoE) technology.

“The commercial mid-market has long lacked a truly affordable, enterprise-class indoor coverage solution—until now,” says Werner Sievers, CEO of Nextivity. “CEL-FI QUATRA bridges the gap for these organizations, eliminating the cost, complexity, and time involved with the installation of full-blown active DAS systems.”

How it Works
CEL-FI QUATRA is comprised of a Network Unit (NU), which receives and distributes the donor cellular signal; and the Coverage Unit (CU), which contains actively powered antennas that transmit the cellular signal throughout the venue to users actively or passively. CEL-FI QUATRA offers exceptional value and optimal performance when installed off-air or tethered to a small cell.

Off-air: CEL-FI QUATRA can be installed off-air using a macro donor signal from a wireless service provider. The NU, which brings in the off-air donor signal, is connected to up to four CUs that are distributed throughout areas where better cellular coverage is needed. The NU and CUs operate in a coordinated manner to amplify the off-air signal and provide high-quality in-building wireless connectivity covering up to 50,000 sq. ft. per system.

Tethered to a small cell: Up to four CEL-FI QUATRA systems can be tethered to a small cell to deliver both increased capacity and greater coverage, and to service more concurrent users. This Boosted Supercell® configuration can deliver coverage to an entire middleprise building. It provides a carrier-class, intelligent, and fully integrated HetNet enterprise solution for high-quality in-building wireless capacity and coverage.

An organization can very quickly install CEL-FI QUATRA off-air while waiting for small cell equipment delivery. It can then be easily connected to a small cell if increased capacity is required.
