Technology developers can sometimes get lost in their own rhetoric. It’s something that we take to heart when we’re delivering the Cel-Fi message to our customers. That’s why we work very hard to ensure that however complex the technology is that we create, it should be insanely simple in the eyes of our users.
Why is that so important to us? For that I will turn your attention to Bryan Kramer, CEO of PureMatter. He published an article There Is No More B2B or B2C: There Is Only Human to Human (H2H) [link to:], which is an eloquent reminder that technology innovation often gets “swallowed up by marketing vernacular” as he puts it.
What lies at the heart of all this is, that ultimately emotion prevails. Your customers – whether they are businesses or consumers – don’t want to be confused. They want to understand what they are buying and share their experiences in a personal way, without the jargon and the hyperbole. Kramer put this best in saying communication should be genuine and simple.
With that in mind, I want to share something a customer in Nigeria sent to us. His letter is one of many that continue to remind us that we are not selling to businesses; we are selling to humans. This banking executive’s words were simple and eloquent – and as genuine as it gets. Here’s what he had to say after Cel-Fi (referred to as a “receiver”) came to his rescue, and one of our resellers was there to provide support.
“I must state categorically that what I experienced today is still like a dream to me, as I compose this mail and look at the receiver in my office supplied by your team, I know that indeed there is a difference between customer service and magical exceptional customer service.
If someone had told me about this, I would have doubted, but it happened to me in person. You guys are truly exceptional.
Not only am I benefiting from this wonderful gesture but my other colleagues that had to abandon their Etisalat lines due to network unavailability have re-opened their SIMs for usage now.
I want to say a very BIG THANK YOU to you all especially Wale that spent quality working hours with me to ensure I am okay.”
What strikes me most is the “humanness” of this letter. It’s a reminder that it doesn’t matter if our technology is being used by a condo resident in Arizona or a banker in Nigeria – the emotional experience is the same.
Every reason for using a Cel-Fi smart signal booster is personal; and every need is important. It could help someone communicate during a medical emergency, or keep the wheels of commerce moving in a challenged environment.
And while we as developers may be one or two steps removed from the customer – whose point of contact may be with an agent, installer or reseller – we love to personally experience the real reason for designing and building our product through our customers’ feedback.
H2H is the ultimate reason we do what we do.
At the end of the day, Cel-Fi is about making it insanely simple for people in their offices and homes to get quality indoor coverage. For us, it’s the human factor that makes our work relevant.
So please, tell us your Cel-Fi stories. We are all ears.
