How to Solve Poor Cell Reception in Your Building

There are many reasons why cellular reception may be weak in some parts of your building. More often than not, a weaker signal is a result of the way the building has been constructed. Materials such as wire mesh, metal, insulation, concrete and even tinted windows (because they contain metallic elements) can all play a part in weakening or blocking signals indoors. Walls are also thicker than in residential buildings.

In fact, while walls in residences may reduce signal strength by a factor of 4 to 10, office walls will reduce them by a factor of 10 to 100, depending on their construction.
